My name is Kelly and I am a personal trainer, nutrition specialist, Les Mills SPRINT Coach, and overall wellness enthusiast. I live in Birmingham, Alabama with my fiancé Brian and dog Cooper. I was a ballet dancer for many years – dancing all the way through college at The University of Alabama where I obtained my BA and MS degrees. After sustaining an injury during my junior year I decided to stop dancing; from there began my love for fitness, health, nutrition. I began preparing all of my meals and eating clean after reading Eat Clean Diet – Recharged! by Tosca Reno and have grown more passionate about overall health since then.
Today I live a Paleo-Primal lifestyle. I feel best on limited grains and only consume grains such as non-gmo/organic oats, quinoa, rice. I eat tons of vegetables (cruciferous are my favorite), grassfed beef/bison, chicken, pastured pork when possible, pasture-raised eggs, lots of sweet potatoes, and limited fruit (1-2 servings per day). I also drink about a gallon of water daily. I consume plenty of healthy fats: MCT oils, coconut oil, avocados, avocado oil, almond butter, olive oil and organic peanut butter in moderation.
I feel the best I ever have and I love being able to fuel my body properly. My goal is to influence others to change their eating habits and realize it’s not a diet — it is a way of life. The results are worth it and sustainable.
