My name is Kelly and I am a CERTIFIED Personal Trainer, Girls Gone Strong Certified Pre/Post-Natal Coach, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I live in Birmingham, Alabama with my husband Brian and our dog Cooper. I love to eat what I call a “paleo-primal” lifestyle. Whole unprocessed foods, clean proteins and veggies and nutritious carbs constitute the bulk of my diet. I avoid refined sugar and refined grains including gluten as much as possible, because I feel the best that way. I call my lifestyle paleo-primal because I do allow flexibility for a variety of carbohydrates including oatmeal, rice, some corn on occasion and some dairy products.
I was a ballet dancer for many years – growing up I attended PRESTIGIOUS summer programs such as Miami City Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Orlando Ballet and CPYB (Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet). Ballet was my life. I chose to attend college instead of going right into professional dancing, and was a Dance Major at the University of Alabama where I also obtained a Masters degree. After sustaining an injury during my junior year I decided to stop dancing for a bit and from there began my love (and obsession) for fitness and wellness. Fast forward a bit…January 2021 I got back into ballet and was regularly taking classes 2-4x weekly until July 2022 when I was diagnosed with a frayed hip labrum. I had to stop dancing altogether to allow time for healing. Sadly, I will not be able to do ballet again because of this injury but I am still able to lift weights and keep my body strong in more ways than one!
I feel the best I ever have and I love being able to fuel my body properly. My goal is to influence others to change their eating habits and realize it’s not a diet – it is a way of life. The results are worth it and sustainable as long as you believe it’s a priority. My method is so sustainable because I don’t eliminate total food groups – and I allow flexibility with my diet. I realized during my 3 months of physical therapy for my hip that I was able to maintain my physique and muscle mass due to my diet and lots of walking and general daily movement!
Read more in my blog section to learn how I have adjusted my workouts over the years, going from lifting 5-6 days a week for 60-90 minutes a session to working out with weights 3-4x weekly for 45 mins-75 minutes per session.
I do meal plan guides and workout plans individually or in group settings. Email me at Kellyahayman@gmail.com for more information on how I can help you achieve your goals. Train with me!

Hi Kelly ! Not sure you remember me but I just saw you on the JCC Facebook page. I worked the front desk when you would come so early in the morning ! But I had no idea how extraordinarily fit you are! If you need an overweight 60 something unfit lady as a Guinea pig for your certification, let me know!!!
