I’ve been experimenting with sweet potato fries for years and I’ve finally found my favorite version!! The way I make them now is by chopping them into thicker wedges and cooking them at a higher temperature so the outside is crispy and the inside is super soft and delicious! Here’s what I do and what you’ll need:
- 2-3 sweet potatoes
- grassfed butter
- coconut oil
- sea salt
- chili powder
Pre-heat oven to 450. Wash and peel your sweet potatoes (I have tried both with and without the peel and my favorite is without the peel as cooking at higher temperature makes the peel tough and I find the fries crisp better without it). Cut off the ends and then cut them into thicker wedges like steak fries. Place on baking sheet. Heat up about 1 tbsp of each coconut oil and grassfed butter (yep, I use both!) and pour on your fries. Then sprinkle all the seasonings and spices (as much as you want, I use a good bit of cinnamon and paprika and chili powder) and place in the oven.
Cook for 25-30 mins, flipping them once halfway through. Enjoy! Let me know what you think!!
