Do y’all want to know how to make candy-tasting sweet potato deliciousness? Sweet potatoes are so freakin awesome. They’re seriously my jam. I eat these babies multiple times a week every week and can never get sick of them. Not only are they delicious but they’re SO good for you! Very low glycemic index, low calorie for a starchy carb, filled with vitamin a, and they actually help you sleep if you eat these with dinner! And when you cook them how I cook them, they’re SO sweet with no added garbage! I make an awesome clean sweet potato casserole for thanksgiving as well which I’ll have to post around the holidays. No marshmallows, no sugar, NO crap! Here’s how I make the mash:
Take 6-8 sweet potatoes and wash and scrub them (these don’t have to be organic believe it or not. Regular potatoes however, need to be organic). Place them on a baking sheet and roast at 350 for 2.5 hours. Remove and let cool.
Once cooled, remove the skins and place in a large bowl. Sprinkle pink salt (the best salt for you!) and tons of cinnamon. Feel free to add grass fed butter too! Mash well with a fork and that’s it! Either eat them now or save for later. I make in huge batches and eat on them throughout the week. #makeslifeeasy
