glasHi y’all! For my first recipe post it’s got to be my favorite dessert of all time–ALMOND BUTTER BROWNIES! This recipe can be tailored to your liking, but, for the most part it’s this:
- 1 heaping cup of almond butter (you can add organic peanut butter swirls if you want)
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup or raw organic honey or coconut palm sugar
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (non-gmo version–I like Whole Foods 365 brand or enjoy life chocolate chips are a good option too)
- 1/4 c cocoa or cacao
- 3 tablespoons ground flax seed
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- a few splashes of water (1/4-1/3 cup, I don’t really measure this, I find the right consistency for ooey-gooey amazingness)
- 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
- A few dashes of pink himalayan salt
INSTRUCTIONS: Mix all ingredients well in a bowl. Butter (I use Kerrygold grassfed) a small baking dish, approximately 11″ x 7 “, on all sides. Pour all ingredients in the dish and bake @ 350 for 30 mins.
